How do I make a Blog?

Let’s teach you how to create a blog!
Go to the site:
Once there click on the button that says: Free (no email required)
You are at step one of creating your blog. Fill in the appropriate information. I used Montana City Library for my username. You can use your classroom name if you would like. Pick a password that will be easy for you to remember.
Submit your details.
Off to step two….Name your blog. Make it simple and welcoming for your students and classmates. Pick a great title for your blog. Choose your blog type (teacher, student, or other).
Write down your infomation for future reference (also so you can tell students, peers, and parents where to see your blogs). You may want to link your blogging site to your school website.
Click go to step 3
Choose the simple blogging option first (once you get the hang of it, then you can become advanced:)
Now you can begin creating posts for your blog. The blue tabs at the top of your screen will help to guide you. The first one is new post (your first blog). Title your first blog as something fun. Perhaps an introductory lesson for your students and classmates. A great example is something that will help you get to know them at the beginning of the year. Hobbies…..Post your hobbies (in the body section of your new post) then as a homework assignment have them post their hobbies…..and potentially their parent’s hobbies too! Also in the body section of your first post you can add media (images, video, audio).
On the right hand side of your screen you will see the save draft area….SAVE YOUR NEW POST! You can also preview it before you publish it (so you can see what they will see).
At the top of your screen you can also add pages, comments (to other blogs or your own), you can add a theme (background), or some designs. Have fun with it.
